Ranthambore National Park Jungle Safari

There is always something fascinating about exploring the interior of a dense wild forest, and wildlife lovers visit such forests for that reason. There has always been a fascination with the forest of Ranthambore for wildlife tourists for many years because of its amazing wildlife, especially the Royal Bengal Tigers. It is the best way to explore the large tranquil forest that is the natural habitat for the diverse wildlife species of Ranthambore through the safari organized by the forest administration. To explore Ranthambore National Park, you can either choose a Jeep safari or a Canter safari. Details about the Ranthambore tiger reserve safari are listed below.

In Ranthambore Park, enjoy a Jeep safari

During the Jeep Safari Ranthambore, you will get to explore the jungle in an open-sided Jeep vehicle where you can see everything from all sides. Among the best options for wildlife photography, Jeeps are most popular among those who want to maintain their privacy with their families. Even in deep forests and narrow spaces, Canter and Jeep are reachable. For those who want to explore the jungle in total privacy with their loved ones, a jeep safari is usually preferred. Both jeeps and canters are capable of spotting tigers and can easily trail the wild animals without making much noise, increasing your chances of spotting tigers and providing you with close-up views of wild animals. Moreover, the few seats in a Jeep allow you to book all of them for yourself and your friends or family, and trail the wildlife as you like within the time slot and zone. Two shifts of Jeeps are allowed per day on the Jeep safari.

Canter Wildlife Safari

You can also take the Canter Safari in the 20-seater bus, which is an all-around open vehicle to enjoy the best views of the jungle. There is no comparison between the Canter Safari and the Jeep Safari, but the Canter Safari is an economical way to explore the forest. Jeep Safaris are also difficult to book as most seats have already been reserved in advance, whereas Canter Safaris are relatively easy to book. Two shifts are held in a day for the Canter Safari, and each shift is allowed 20 Canter. It is advised to book your Jeep or Canter safari well in advance before visiting Ranthambore to avoid last-minute hassles. However, the number of tourists is much higher than the availability of safaris, so it is always a good idea to book well in advance. A computer-generated zone allotment system randomly assigns the safari vehicles to the 10 safari zones in Ranthambore National Park at the time of entry. Vehicles can drive anywhere within the given zone, but only on safari tracks, but must enter the zone only. When it comes to spotting tigers, leopards, and other wild animals, zone 1 to 6 are considered the best zones because most of the big lakes are located in these zones and the chances of spotting them are high around the water.

When is the best time to see tigers in Ranthambore

Due to its location in the western part of India, Ranthambore National Park has a dry subtropical climate. During the peak summer season, the Ranthambore area's temperature crosses over 45 degrees, but in the peak winter season, it can drop as low as 2 degrees. Ranthambore is relatively better to visit from October to April since the daytime temperatures are moderate and the nighttime temperatures are cool. Monsoon season, which occurs between July and September, closes the park because Tigers are mated during this time. It is considered best to observe tigers during the summer months, especially near lakes and water holes, since big cats often visit lakes to quench their thirst as well as to hunt the prey that visits them.
